The changes I made were:

• Used different colors than the pattern suggests
  
• Added a beaded bracelet 
• Sewed on "fingers" and "toes" with black embroidery thread
• Sewed on an "S" on the heart and put it in the middle of the body.  TIP: Add the letter of their first name for the special person you're making this cute critter
